I love teaching and sharing my knowledge. I get a great feeling of satisfaction seeing my clients go from strength to strength.
My clients range from 25 to 80. I have been in the industry for many years , my belief is the importance of movement, keeping the joints safe and really feeling what is happening within the body .
Owner and instructor Sandra Bickmore opened her first personal training studio ‘CoreFit Pilates Repton Park’ in 2003. Sandra has over 20 years experience in her field and has been a certified Pilates practitioner since 2000, training extensively with MK Pilates. She is also a certified Dynamic yoga teacher training with Godfrey Deveroux Booty barre with Tracey Mallet a fully qualified gym and personal trainer She has worked in many top gyms across London and Essex, specialising in core strength and focusing on Pilates and Pilates Reformers. With a Love of teaching Dynamic Yoga. Sandra’s passion for Pilates started back in 2000 when she started to developed a true understanding for the importance of core stability when exercising and during everyday life.
Pikaia – origins…
The pikaia fish is the most primitive known vertebrate and therefore the ancestor of all descendant vertebrates, including humans .
How cool is that! When we stumbled across this fascinating creature – it immediately felt like the perfect name for the studio: we are all about spine health and movement while keeping the joints safe. We want to be mobile like a fish in water, water is strong and powerful, water is flexible. Our body is our vehicle through this wonderful life. At Pikaia we are here to guide you and teach you to be the perfect version of yourself .
